That beautiful mama and I played volleyball together when we were seniors in high school, almost 9 years ago! And I hadn't seen her since then. But with the wonderful world of facebook and blogging we have gotten back in touch over the last couple of years. She is a wonderful photographer as well, and while I was visiting my family in Utah she took pictures of my family and visa versa. So here is a, very large, sneak peek! (sorry it took so long!)
Isn't this the most gorgeous family!
We went to a park with a fun playground for the kids to play around on. We had the craziest weather and almost canceled because we thought it was going to pour. Instead we had some moody clouds, a little drizzle, some sunshine and a couple yummy rainbows!
You guys are stunning! Thanks for making such cute kids :) I had so much fun!!!
PS to all my 365 friends, she just started one as well, go and show her some love!

These are beautiful, you did such a WONDERFUL job! I especially love the silhouette one of the kids. Would love to know the settings you used for that!
Kat here are the settings: Exposure 1/4000 sec
Aperture f/3.2
Focal Length 50 mm
ISO Speed 400
I exposed for the sky (the clouds looked so cool!) Then in photoshop I upped the contrast, blacks and levels to get the kids to stand out even more!
April, these are gorgeous! Great job!
Nice job April, these are amazing!
April, April, April!!! I love them!! Thank you so much and hello, that was worth the wait! You are excellent
Beautiful family, beautiful setting and beautiful shots - of course! And a rainbow?!?! Get out!
Absolutely gorgeous, you did an amazing job.
these are great!! I love the silhouette shot :) And the setting is amazing!!
Love the black and white one where she's holding the baby and the black and white one of the swing with the lovely light shining through! Wonderful job!
What a great collection, so many different poses, were you there all day long?
Like everyone else my favorite is the silhouette against the mammatus clouds. I'm going to have to remember that one. Did you have them on a hill or did you have to lie on the ground to get that?
Is everything here done with the 50mm f/1.4?
