Sorry I have been MIA, I appreciate all the nice comments on flickr and my blog. I am going out of town in a couple of days, but when I get back things should slow down. Until then it will be dump and run :)

By the way, how do you know that they're due to be plucked. I have potatoes growing in my front-yard but don't know when they're due.

Radishes grow very quickly, and you can see a little red sticking out of the ground when they are done. Also I just picked some to see if they are done. I go out and pick a few everyday to eat (I am the only one who likes them)
I would pick a potato or look online to see how long you should wait before you harvest it. I have never grown potatoes so I don't know :)
